Imam's Professorship Journey

I am writing this blog as the continuation of my defunct Universitas Indonesia Blog "Imam's Professorship Journey". I promised myself I'd document my journey from a newly hired lecturer, far at the bottom of the academic career ladder, up until my desired destination as a Full Professor at Universitas Indonesia. My latest update was in 2022, so there is a full 3 years of undocumented journey. I will try to summarize the current situation. First, I got promoted from Assistant Professor to Associate Professor in 2024. This marks an important climb up the Academic Ladder. I will need to accumulate merit points to climb the next steps, in 2026 and in 2028. Next, in 2024, I was also tapped in as the Director of the Undergraduate Program in Management at the Department of Management, Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Indonesia.
